THE GIG SURVIVORS

Earlier this week I saw Don Broco at the roundhouse, this is my second live gig where the crowd are a bit...hum...crazy. So, here are some tips on how to come out of that sweaty pit looking flawless and not like a tramp (Based on my experiences).

It's winter now and queuing for a gig isn't the most pleasant experience in the cold. So, wear just enough as when you start moshing etc.. you will get so hot and sweaty. Venues like the roundhouse have cloakrooms so check if the venue has one, it will save you having to carry lots and possibly losing some of you're most values possessions.
Secondly, if it's your first time I wouldn't suggest going straight in the mosh pit as it does get kinda hard to breath as there are a lot of bodies producing heat and if you happen to be surrounded by tall people it makes it even worse and people are crazy violent so stay safe! One solution could be getting on someones shoulders as you get to enjoy some fresh air for a while.
Thirdly, wear waterproof make up! Luckily at venues like the roundhouse they hand you cups of wonderful ice cold water but if you happen to go to the Brixton O2 they literally squirt the water in your face so drink plenty of fluids before hand (maybe sneak in a capri sun because its not a bottle eh?)
Also carry some deo, flannel or some wipes for a quick refresh after all that crazy dancing.
Finally, do what you want feel free and happy and don't allow anyone to ruin your mood as you want to leave eupeptic not filled with regret!
HAVE FUN!!

To end here is a disgusting selfie with me in the pit with the bestie!

Autumn Biker

Autumn Biker

Forever 21 graphic top / Topshop lined jacket / H&M stretch dress pants, $24 / ALDO black lace up boots / Max Factor black eye makeup, $29

Here I'm  being a bit experimental and thought this outfit is really on trend with the current style of over-sized biker jackets, casual tees, tartan prints and ankle booties.

I paired the look with messy hair and a smokey eye with lashing of mascara like Cara's.

The trousers are on the H&M website and selling at £15!! I went in store to get some but sadly I couldn't find any, but I did get some teal coloured corduroy skinny trousers for £7! as they were on sale *happy face*.

Tell me you thoughts on this combination :)

New Music

Aish Aish here!

We have yet to show our personal tastes and interests in our blog but I would like to give you a weekly (hopefully) insight into my music taste.

I find myself categorized into the indie, rock, garage punk genre but the thing that differentiates me is my love for newer, fresher sounds.

Click! That's my radio turned on, most likely blasting tunes and humerous discussions from X.FM or Absolute Radio. After a late afternoon show on X.FM, their track of the day was the new song by Catfish and the Bottlemen who are a new upcoming band from (I'm assuming) the UK. Their new song called Pacifier is a killer tune - heavy guitar x drums and a explosive voice.

Catfish and the Bottlemen - Pacifier

Favourite line.... "But babe! You know I try to fail... But you!..."

Tell me what you think any indie-rock lovers out there

Soph on....The Bells

Sleigh Bells have recently made a comeback and Alexis Krauss still looks flawless!
Not only that but they have managed to make a
catchy, riff filled... in yo' face  tune.

Check it out here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cr-ahiFDkts

Want her style?
Heres a few places you can get that grungy-hardcore look.

We found a super cute lacey corset on Forever 21.

Next up them shorts....
Hey, no! I know what you're thinking, don't be lazy.
Grab those jeans you stoppped wearing a year ago, get the scissors and buy some cheap studs off ebay and you're halfway there. DIY is awesome it's a great way to up-cycle some old clothes. Be a fashion superhero.
Hmm, I guess I can't leave you with no advice so heres one of my fave videos on cutting up those tatty, small or even oversized jeans. http://goo.gl/27qc4b

Top off the look with some sassy gold hoops and go crazy on your nails with gold, black and studs!
